Bolt Goodly’s Strategy
Popping the Hood
Bolt Goodly’s strategy begins with an in-depth analysis of your digital status. We will run comprehensive reports on your website, your social media accounts, your ads, emails, reviews, and any other relevant information we come across. You can liken this process to getting a full diagnostic on your car. A mechanic may be able to guess the problem based on his experience, but won’t really know what’s going on until he pops the hood.
The same goes for digital marketing. We can look at the surface level of your digital marketing footprint and have an idea of what’s going on, but we won’t be able to put forth a strategic plan until we “pop the hood.” The first couple of weeks to a month will involve getting access to of the necessary accounts, running extensive reporting, and coming up with a long-term (next full business year) and short-term (next full business quarter) marketing strategy for your organization.
After this phase, we will reassess your monthly agreement. Our experience has shown us that once we pop the hood and dig around, the direction tends to shift from our initial examination.
Once we have an agreed upon a direction based on our comprehensive marketing strategy, which will include a tentative calendar for the first 90 days, we get to work! This process will look different for everyone. Some organizations will require a new website, website updates, creation of new accounts, etc. before we can move to launching campaigns.
This initial phase can take anywhere from two weeks to two months depending on what your organization requires. (See below, How to Get the Most Out of Us, section for more information).
We adhere to a Scrum methodology, which is the anti-waterfall. Our experience shows us that marketing is an ongoing process that is always shifting, and never “complete” as projects with a waterfall methodology eventually come to completion. With this methodology, we will assign you a number of Value Points for a one month period. This Value Point system allows us to shift on a dime, whereas hourly billing or waterfall methodology does not. If, for example, one month you find you would rather have us write two blogs rather than send two newsletters, we can easily shift directions without affecting your monthly retainer. This also allows to stay on track with our strategic calendar and not getting behind on your work.
